Dr. Ian M. Fontenot, DDS

Born and raised in Ville Platte, Dr. Ian Fontenot has strong roots in the Acadiana area. At a young age, his parents taught him the importance of customer and patient care. With Dr. Fontenot's mother as a registered nurse and his father an established family dentist in Ville Platte, he learned early on to take pride in caring for patients.

He graduated from LSU Alexandria magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Biological Sciences and later furthered his education, receiving a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans. Dr. Fontenot graduated top of his class at LSU with many prestigious awards, including the following: C. Edmund Kells, OKU Dental Honor Society, Academy of General Dentistry Senior Award, Academy of Operative Dentistry Senior Award, International Congress of Oral Implantologists Senior Award, American Academy of Periodontology Senior Award, and American Academy Implant Dentistry Senior Award.

After dental school, he accepted and completed a General Dentistry Residency at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Jacksonville, Florida. At the University of Florida, he learned all the disciplines in-depth, with a special emphasis on full mouth reconstruction and surgery utilizing dental implants, crowns, veneers, and removable prosthetics.

Since completing his residency, Dr. Fontenot has done more than 500 hours of continuing dental education in orthodontics (certified provider of Six Month Smiles and Invisalign), bone grafts, dental implants (certified provider of Nobel Biocare), sedation dentistry, nitrous oxide, oral sedation, practice management, rotary endodontics, gum grafts, cosmetic dentistry, and pediatrics. He has a strong desire to learn from the best teachers across the country and use the latest technology to provide the highest quality patient care.

Dr. Fontenot worked at his father's dental practice in Ville Platte and multiple health centers throughout Acadiana for the past few years. From this experience, he increased his scope of practice to pediatrics, allowing him to treat adults and children in his current practice.

Dr. Fontenot has been married to his high-school sweetheart for almost 10 years. They have one beautiful little girl, Lilah Kate Fontenot, and a son, Liam Paul. His wife is a teacher at a local Catholic school, St. Leo-Seton. Dr. Fontenot lives with his family in Carencro, and they love it! He enjoys exercising, movies, music, and hanging out with friends and family.

Dr. Reeves Texada

Dr. Reeves Texada is a graduate from the LSU School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Prior to his dental education, Reeves pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering at LSU , where he developed a strong foundation in problem-solving and critical thinking—skills that have proven invaluable in his dental practice.

Born and raised in south Louisiana, Reeves cultivated a deep appreciation for the outdoors from a young age. His love for hunting and fishing was nurtured by weekend trips with his family, where he learned the importance of patience, precision, and respect for nature. These experiences not only forged his character but also inspired his commitment to a balanced lifestyle.

During his engineering studies, Reeves' fascination with biomechanics led him to explore the intricate relationship between engineering principles and dental practices. This unique background gives him a distinctive perspective on patient care, as he incorporates innovative techniques and technology into his work, ensuring his patients receive the best possible outcomes.

While in dental school, Reeves volunteered with various community health initiatives, providing dental care to underserved populations. This experience ignited his passion for service, motivating him to integrate community outreach into his professional career. He believes that everyone deserves access to quality dental care and aims to make a positive impact on his community.

In his spare time, Reeves enjoys spending weekends in the great outdoors. Whether he’s casting a line in the marsh or tracking game through the woods, he finds solace and rejuvenation in nature. His hobbies not only allow him to unwind but also reflect his appreciation for the balance between work and leisure.

As he embarks on his career as a dentist, Reeves is excited to combine his engineering background with his passion for oral health. He aims to foster strong relationships with his patients, providing them with compassionate care and empowering them to take charge of their dental health. With his dedication to excellence and a genuine love for the outdoors, Dr. Reeves Texada is poised to make a meaningful impact in both his professional and personal life.

Dr. Hannah Miller

Dr. Hannah Kathryne Miller is a 2026 graduate of Roseman University College of Dental Medicine in South Jordan, Utah, where she was honored with induction into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society. Originally from Slidell, Louisiana, Dr. Miller earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, graduating cum laude from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Dr. Miller is excited to return to Louisiana and proudly call Scott her new home. She is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered dental care and is committed to helping her patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and fiancé! She loves playing pickleball, relaxing at the beach, and traveling. She looks forward to building lasting relationships within the Scott community and making a positive impact on the lives of her patients.

McKenzie

Regional Manager

McKenzie has been in the dental field since 2005, where she began her career in pediatrics but quickly moved to general dentistry. She began working at Fontenot Family Dentistry since 2015. She is Edda, ACLS, X-Ray, and CPR certified. As our office manager for over 6 years, McKenzie oversees all three locations and helps them to run smoothly and efficiently! When she’s not busy at work, McKenzie enjoys working out and spending time with her family!

The oil that keeps the engine running of our family practice, McKenzie joined Fontenot Family Dentistry in 2015. She is no stranger to the dental field and began her career in pediatric dentistry in 2005, before making the jump to general dentistry. Therefore, she is well-versed in helping patients of all ages. A master of her trade, McKenzie has worked various positions in the dental office over the years making her well-equipped to serve as the regional manager. Her certifications include: EDDA, ACLS, CPR as well as a dental x-ray certification. Her greatest certification, however, is supporting her doctors in providing optimal care to the Fontenot family patient community. McKenzie achieves this by ensuring all patients are receiving excellent dental care in a caring and calm environment.

McKenzie grew up in Church Point, Louisiana, and is one of 6 siblings. Growing up in a big family helped foster her love for people. She prides herself on treating our patients like family. She is committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and knows this begins with a healthy smile.

When she is not overseeing practice operations at our Fontenot Family Dentistry locations, you can find her creating new adventures and traveling, with her husband Matt. She also enjoys fashion, and fitness as well as spending time with her extended family including her nieces and nephews that she adores.

Taylor

Office Manager

Taylor started in dentistry at Southwest Dental Academy in 2017. She came across the amazing team here and has not looked back. She worked alongside Dr. Fontenot and eventually went through expanded duty dental assistant program. Her focus is the patient experience and making sure you are comfortable. She communicates with the patient before and during the procedure to alleviate any dental anxiety.

In 2023, our second location opened and it was the perfect time for a change. In managing the front office in Scott, she found a love for both the clinical side of helping others achieve their smile goals, as well as the administrative side of working with our fantastic patients.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Meredith and Maxim.

Jaicee

Dental Hygienist

Jaicee joined Fontenot Family Dentistry in January 2024. With 7 years of experience, she graduated from Southern University of Shreveport in 2017. After graduation she relocated to the Lafayette area to begin her hygiene career. Jaicee is passionate about building relationships with her patients to give them the best, most comfortable, dental experience.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Dental Hygienist

Janey joined Fontenot Family Dentistry in June 2025. She completed her prerequisite classes at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before attending dental hygiene school. She graduated as part of the first class at LSU School of Dentistry’s remote Alexandria location, alongside five classmates, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She also served as class representative during both years of the program. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, Craig, and being with their three cat

Taylor

Dental Assistant

Taylor works closely with Dr. Porter, ensuring patients' smiles are clean and helping to create a safe and comfortable environment where everyone feels good about themselves. Taylor completed her education and training at Southwest Dental Academy and has always been passionate about pursuing a career in dentistry.

Taylor joined our team early in 2023 and has already made a positive impact on the team and patients in her short time here. She loves seeing patients become more confident with their smiles and appreciates the welcoming atmosphere that Fontenot Family Dentistry provides, making everyone feel like part of the family.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with friends and family, going on road trips, and taking some well-deserved personal time. One unique hobby she enjoys is watching sunrises and sunsets, reflecting her appreciation for life's simple pleasures. A fun fact about Taylor is that she loves taking part in adventurous activities, always seeking new experiences and challenges.

Insurance Coordinator

Bailey joined our team in February of 2023 after completing the dental assistant program at Acadiana Area Community College. She was a dental assistant for 4 years before moving up to our front desk. She answers the phone, schedules patients, and verifies insurance. Bailey also does the ordering for all our office supplies.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog Remi. In the years to come, she hopes to continue and grow with our practice.

Dental Assistant

Bailie joined our team in May 2024 after completing the dental assisting program at Southwest Dental Academy.

Her Main focus is to connect with the patients and help them be comfortable, confident, and to keep coming back. She loves the teamwork ethic Fontenot Family Dentistry possesses and how it makes it such a pleasurable place to be/ work at.

Outside of work, Bailie enjoys going places to eat, anything involving the outside, and a lot of reality TV. She spends a lot of her free time with family and her son, Harrison. In years to come, she hopes to grow and learn more as an assistant to keep the patients and coworkers proud.

Dental Assistant

Ainsley joined Fontenot Family Dentistry 2023 as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant. She attended Alexandria Dental Academy in 2019. She loves working alongside our doctors and enjoys making her patients feel comfortable and confident. She strives in educating and helping her patients smile again!

In her free time, she loves shopping and spending time with her husband and family.

Dental Assistant

Katelyn joined Fontenot Family Dentistry in 2026 after graduating from Accelerated Dental in 2025. She has always known she wanted to pursue a career in dental since she was younger, and is excited to finally be able to! She loves how supportive and kind everyone on the team is and looks forward to growing as an assistant at the office.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and reading.
